There are three welcome centers in Brattleboro. Exit 1 at the
Outlet Center. Exit 2 at the Creamery covered bridge on Route 9
just west of the exit. Downtown on the Brattleboro Common,
Putney Road. Or you can drop by or call the Chamber of Commerce
at 180 Main Street (802-254-4565). They have all sorts of literature
on driving tours, walking tours, historical sites, covered bridges
and other information about Brattleboro and southern Vermont.
Folks are very friendly and helpful here. In Putney just off Exit
4, there is an information center outside of the Putney Inn which
is packed with things to do in the area. The folks at the Putney Inn
are also very helpful and will assist you in finding out what
is happening during your stay in southern Vermont. Also take a look at SouthernVermont.com, VermontVacation.com and the Brattleboro Reformer.
