Canal Street Elementary School "Canal Street Elementary School"

"This quartzite rubble building was constructed more than 100 years ago and served as the downtown community's elementary school until the consolidation of classes in 2003. The building topped by a cupola that holds an 1118 pound bell dated 1893. The building was designed by McKim, Meade and White of New York. Much of the interior is in its original condition, including wainscoat that still has the original varnish on it."
